# Account Manager vs Producer
## In a typical Happily production, there will be both an Account Manager and a Producer. This article outlines the distinctions between these two roles.
While some overlap exists, particularly in communication and collaboration, the Account Manager primarily focuses on client relationships and overall project strategies, while the Producer is concentrated on the execution and operational aspects of a single project.
### **Account Manager**
A Happily Account Manager, as part of Happily HQ, acts as the dedicated point of contact for each client, managing relationships, and overseeing scope development.
- **Client Liaison:** Primary connection between Happily and the client, nurturing a strong relationship, understanding client needs, and ensuring overall satisfaction.
- **Project Scope Coordination:** Strategically supervises each client's production at Happily, ensuring consistent alignment with client expectations, smooth project progression, and adherence to long-term goals.
- **Budget / Contract Management:** Finalizes the production budget, ensuring projects stay within financial constraints and are accurately itemized.
### **Producer**
A Happily Producer, working under the guidance of the Account Manager, handles specific project details and practical elements. While responsibilities are extensive, here are some key aspects in comparison to the Account Manager.
- **Execution Focus:** Hands-on in project execution, working closely with the team to ensure the project follows the plan.
- **Logistics and Details:** Manages logistical details, ensuring smooth practical operations, including budget coordination with the Account Manager.
