# What is Fractional and How Does it Work?
Fractional hiring allows you to pay only for the job searches you need or opt for an annual subscription for unlimited hiring. Create a project and post your jobs from your [Projects](https://app.teamhappily.com/clients/projects) or [Dashboard](https://app.teamhappily.com/clients) page, and you'll get matched with specialists who fit your criteria.
Once you have been matched, specialists will mark themselves as available. Once you have found a specialist which you want to hire you can send them an offer. They'll have 24 hours to respond with their acceptance. If a specialist declines or the time elapses, no worries! You can effortlessly re-extend the offer to the same specialist or reach out to another talented candidate. Keep the momentum going until you've assembled your dream team!
